The United States (By Search Volume for Attorneys)

How would the United States look if was based on the search volume for the keyword attorney? Well, it would be significantly distorted towards the coasts and is similar to a map that is to distorted to reflect population.

Below you can see the map of the United States distorted by the search volume for attorneys. Of particular interest to Torri’s Legal Services is that you can see the Washington DC metro area has much higher volume than other parts of the country.

A Few Fun Facts

  • If you live in the Rockies and the Great Plains, you apparently don’t search for attorneys. Those regions lose the most area on the map.
  • Seven states (California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Texas, and Washington) account for over 50% of the total volume.
  • California is over six times larger proportionally; Wyoming and North Dakota are each over 22 times smaller proportionally.
